The Show Pony Philosophy

Eighteenth-century forms beside mid-century icons; contemporary sculpture offset by tribal artefacts. Every piece is chosen not simply for its form, but for its soul — and its place in the layered, expressive interiors that no two rooms should ever share.

The Collector

An eye trained over fifty years

Show Pony Interiors is the vision of Mathew Matheou — a seasoned collector and curator with more than half a century immersed in antiques, fine art, restoration and interior design. A global traveller with a trained, artistic eye, Mathew has spent a lifetime sourcing exceptional objects that tell stories: pieces with provenance, originality, and the kind of patina only time can create.

From faded grandeur to sculptural modernism, each object is chosen not simply for its form, but for its soul. Whether it is a well-worn leather club chair, a surrealist oil, or a brutalist sideboard, every item in the collection carries a distinct identity — and a place in the layered, expressive interiors Mathew is known for.

“This is a destination for those who believe interiors should be lived in, not staged — and that beauty lies in the imperfect, the rare, and the unexpected.” Mathew Matheou, Founder
